The technique I will show you is called "Arbitrage" (or "Arbs" for short). It has been known for more than a century in the big financial markets and among a small number of informed, professional gamblers. Yet the word "gambling" is quite inappropriate here because it implies a risk of losing - but arbitrage eliminates that risk entirely. With every bet, you will win.

The famous professional gambler Alex Bird used arbitrage to help build a multi million dollar fortune. With his network of international contacts he was able to spot arbitrage opportunities and place his bets in such a way that whatever happened he could not lose. Let me explain how arbitrage bets work.

Arbitrage occurs when two or more bookmakers offer different odds for all the outcomes in an event. In special circumstances, if you were to bet a carefully calculated stake on each outcome between two or more bookmakers, you can guarantee to make a profit. This happens very often and you would be surprised at just how much bookies' opinions differ about what should be the true odds for an event. I could find DOZENS of examples. Here is a really simple one from Rugby.

On 11th January 2004 Wasps played Celtic Warriors in the Heinekin Cup. Stan James offered 5/4 that there would be "over 4 Tries". Paddy Power offered 11/10 that there would be "under 5" Cover both to be Guaranteed to win!


The easiest Arbs to profit from are those covering events with a small number of possible outcomes. For example, in football the three results could be Team A wins, Team B wins or there is a draw. No other result is possible and a bookmaker will offer odds for each possibility.

Boxing, Baseball, Tennis, Golf and other similar events all offer such possibilities. So too do big political events such as elections and high profile non sporting contests such as popular music awards etc..

It is also possible to discover arb opportunities in events where there are four, five, six or more outcomes.

Please understand you do NOT need to be an expert on a sport to profit from this. You only need the barest knowledge of the rules of golf, tennis or football etc. and you do not need to know who the best players are. You win every time regardless of who wins the game.

Here is a recent, real example.

Opportunities like this occur many times a day, every day.
In October 2002 the golf Buick Challenge took place. This particular arbitrage occured in the 2nd Round 3-Ball. If you don't understand what that means then don't worry. All you need to know is where to find these events at an online bookmaker - and I can show you that.

Three different online bookmakers offered the following odds on the participants:

  • Durant - 15/4 with William HIll,
  • Price - 2/1 with Easybets
  • Cink - 7/5 with Centerbet.

If you had placed a bet of £211 on Durant, £333 on Price and £417 on Cink you would have been guaranteed a return of all your stake money plus a profit of £39 regardless of who won the round. A profit of approximately 4%.

Now, just a minute, you may say. "I have to bet nearly £1,000 to win just £39. Is that worth it?". You BET it is! If you were to put that £1,000 into a typical bank savings account these days it would take you almost a year to earn that £39 in interest - and then you would probably have to pay tax on it too. (This works in any country but please check out your local tax laws if you are outside of the UK).

Month 1 - £500 + 20% = £600

Month 5 - £1036 + 20% = £1243

    I know you will have many questions, and I'm happy to answer them. Here are some of the more common things I am asked....


    If you can win every time, why don't bookmakers try to stop you doing this?

    Firstly it is difficult for bookmakers to know you are doing this. A single bookmaker will only see one side of your transaction and he may see your bets lose as often as they win. It is only you that know you are always making a profit. Secondly, you will use many different bookmakers for this activity so your business with any one is limited. My course shows you all the secrets for overcoming any problems you may have here.

    I always thought any kind of betting was a mug's game and you are sure to lose in the long term. Why is this any different?

    As I have explained - your profit is guaranteed. You are right that regular betting is very risky. In arbitrage, you have all the angles covered and you are sure to win the bet on one side or the other.

    You say this is "tax-free". How can that be so?

    In most western countries income from betting is legally free of income tax. This is certainly so in the United Kingdom but I recommend you check out your local tax laws if you are not a UK resident.

    It still seems a small amount of money that you can win in return for a large stake. Is this really economical?

    Although an individual return may only be from 3% - 20% of your original stake, remember this is guaranteed and can happen several times a day. A Wall Street trader in stocks would kill for guaranteed profits like this every day. It's a steady way to a fortune.

    How many bets a day are there - and do I have to play them all?
